As a lifelong musician, piano was the first instrument I ever loved. Growing up in a blue-collar family, we respected things built by hand. When I recently lost my job to AI, I decided to pivot to an offline career where I could be of service to my community and teach my son important values. I started The Old Piano Company to make a difference. To traditional junk companies, an old piano is just 500 pounds of debris, but to me, it is a legacy of craftsmanship and artistry. By hand-deconstructing these instruments here in Saratoga Springs, I ensure heritage woods and metals find a second life with local artisans instead of rotting in a landfill. We recycle or repurpose over 95% of each instrument, from the heavy cast iron to the delicate ivory. Even if an instrument can no longer play, I’m here to make sure its story doesn't end in the dirt.
